BACKGROUND:
Pastor Caleb Harms was called to serve as our pastor in October 2007.  He completed his Masters of Divinity Degree in 1990 from Trinity Lutheran
Seminary in Columbus, OH.  In August of 1990, Caleb was ordained into the
ministry.  Prior to pursuing his career in ministry, he received a Bachelor
of Arts in Communication Arts from California Lutheran University.  In
addition, he earned a Master of Arts in Theatre from the University of
Colorado.  Caleb's ministry has included Campus ministry, Prison Ministry,
two congregations, a national staff member of the Lutheran Church, and an Interfaith Peace ministry.  Caleb is currently working as a hospice chaplain in addition to serving as the Pastor of St. Matthew's United Church of Christ.  He became a Minister in the UCC in December of 2004.

FAMILY:
Caleb has two wonderful sons, Amani and Gabriel.  They both love
sporting activities, especially soccer and baseball.  His sons are enjoying
the elementary school years.  Amani is especially interested in science and
math, while Gabriel is passionate about music and people.  Amani and Gabriel
are two of Caleb's most important teachers.

INTERESTS:
Caleb is passionate about the theatre and movies.  He is well
traveled in the United States.  Hawaii is the only state that he has not
visited.  He is a photographer and has sold pieces of his artwork.  Music is
an essential part of his life from Miles Davis to U2 to Tom Waits and
Leonard Cohen.  The Green Bay Packers are his favorite team because his mom grew up in Milwaukee.  Caleb especially enjoys conversation and listening to life stories.
